wow what kind of filter do you use to take a shot like this? they always come out too bright when i try. even with a polarizer.

I use a circular polarizer and, depending on the amount of light, a neutral density filter, from 0.3 to 2.4

so neutral density makes it even darker? and is that a circular one or do you need different filters for .3 to 2.4? im a noob to filters. i only have a UV and a polarizer.

I have different ND filters, .3, .6, .9, and 2.4

There are graduate ND filters, but they serve a different purpose.
