This is a beautiful flower. Did you know it originates in South Africa? I grew up on a farm there, and in Autumn time they would flourish in the fields before planting time. They are actually regarded as a weed to farmers, as they just grow and take over everything. I just know that they are BEAUTIFUL and my horses loved them :) They came in white, pink and almost maroon colour.... I will put photos up soon which I have taken in fields when I still lived there. It's a sight to behold. You're photos are great!
