the contrasts of darks against lights work well, but it's the contrast between the motion of the water and the static ice that works best... great shot

Dropping the color in this shot really works well. I think it's because of all the white snow and running water.

I've never been there before, but it's pretty close to me. Looks really beautiful in picture, I bet it's even better in person. Got to get there one day!

I like this one better, the over all feel of it has a bigger impact since we're looking straight forward.
It seems to be more balanced and have more details available without looking to far into it, making it at first glace more appealing. (which is how I vote on all your polls, first impact)

On a side note, I'm not very fond of black and white in nature photos, it seems to take away some of the natural beauty (to me at least), but with it being winter and a pretty gray scale season no matter your editing, it worked out pretty nicely.

I like the movement you've captured in the water as well. Nice job  I like this one better than the other :)

Anytime :)

I agree... it looks nice. There are a few other things that I've seen in black and white that look really good too in nature, it's just not often.

Black and white was such a good choice, it makes the falls seem even colder. Great focus and exposure. Excellent composition.

I almost thought it was a stock picture.

It....looks so unreal... and beautiful... :iconexplodeplz: The fact that it's in black and white gives it a sort of soft, mystical feel to it. It's so pretty~:la:
