This is a simply stunning photograph and I felt this should be first ever critique.
The soft focus of the waterfall while maintaining a crisp/sharp feel to the moss and rock face is talent that many lack, well done for that. A very careful balance of exposure to pull this off. For me the most exceptional part of this picture is the left hand waterfall where there has been a lovely tunnel created and you see the amazing detail you have managed to capture.
The colours have come out beautifully it is a true expression of the glory of nature and I love the contrast of the rich greens and red/orange against the waterfall.
The only minor niggle I would prehaps pick up on is the far right hand corner seems a little bright. But this is simply a nit pick and I am afraid i am not talented enough to know if it would be possible to adjust that or not without destroying an other wise emaculate image. I gave the photo three and half stars for originality as there are quiet a few pictures of waterfalls although not many in this particular style. However the greatness of this picture lies in its essence rather than subject matter.
You are a wonderfully talented photographer. I shall look forwards to seeing more of your work.
This is an exquisite picture (and I don't use that word lightly!) with a beautiful composition. So gorgeous I went onto google earth to see if I could go there! (I couldn't, but that's ok cos I have your picture ) Vision There are a lot of nature photos out there, but only a few can capture the spirit and individuality of a place, rather than just snapping a pic, fiddling a bit and plopping it on the PC. You managed to capture a magnificant moment! Yay! Originality Since the place is obviously very unique it takes a good photographer to freeze that feeling within the picture. You acheived that very well through the off-centre composition, which gives an impression of just reaching the place. Technique The thing that first caught my attention was the soft-focus water affect, which gives it a supernatural feel. I love the way you focused sharply on the rock and bricks. I The colouring that you brought out (reda and greens) make it look very new and realistic. Impact ...I really need to say anymore after all that gushing? (I'm worse than the waterfall ) The impact is very good, since I'm not usually one for photography. Since you managed to make me sad about not being able to see it speaks volumes about your talent. In short (too late) very very very very good!!!
Nature has lent you the perfect shot for framing! The bridge mirrors the natural pinch point of the waterfall, the striations in the rocks & the green of the leaves & moss... *sigh*.... Absolutely stunning!!!! I love this
