Description

Three times is a charm, and this is the third time I show you the Rainbow Falls in Watkins Glen State Park.

Whenever I look at this picture I feel like I am dreaming as I cannot imagine how lucky I have been to had a chance to photograph it like that.

Please see my Waterfall Gallery here [link] for more beautiful shots =D

This is a simply stunning photograph and I felt this should be first ever critique.

The soft focus of the waterfall while maintaining a crisp/sharp feel to the moss and rock face is talent that many lack, well done for that. A very careful balance of exposure to pull this off. For me the most exceptional part of this picture is the left hand waterfall where there has been a lovely tunnel created and you see the amazing detail you have managed to capture.

The colours have come out beautifully it is a true expression of the glory of nature and I love the contrast of the rich greens and red/orange against the waterfall.

The only minor niggle I would prehaps pick up on is the far right hand corner seems a little bright. But this is simply a nit pick and I am afraid i am not talented enough to know if it would be possible to adjust that or not without destroying an other wise emaculate image. I gave the photo three and half stars for originality as there are quiet a few pictures of waterfalls although not many in this particular style. However the greatness of this picture lies in its essence rather than subject matter.

You are a wonderfully talented photographer. I shall look forwards to seeing more of your work.
