An almost even distribution between views / favorites / and a multiplier of these. I guess it will be hard to determine a true listing of what the "favorite" set of my pictures really is.
views imo dont mean a lot. people can view your image by accident on random deviation.
favs pretty much demonstrate how much people like a picture, however so do comments. it depends on the person whether they fav more or comment more. just because they havnt faved it doesnt mean they dont like it so much.
comments, imo, definitely outweigh views. i never even look at views.
and hehe, im a nerd too i did a two year maths course in one year averaged 96% and i was considering carrying it on this year for fun thats more coz i liked the class and the teachers than coz i like maths though... i decided not to coz i wouldnt have mr jones. what a legend

How about:
Popularity = (Fav Count + Comment Count) * 2 + View Count
This puts twice as much emphasis on Faves and Comments each than on Views
Just thinking it through, don't call me a NERD - hahaha
